Frequently Asked Questions

We are a law firm with a focus on representing clients in matters involving insurance claims and other forms of indemnity/liability claims.

We help maximize the amount of money paid to clients by insurance companies and other indemnitors in a less intrusive way.

Unless agreed otherwise, we work on a contingency fee basis which generally means that we do not get paid a fee for our services unless there is a recovery on the client’s case as more fully described in the written fee agreement that clients receive.

Unless agreed otherwise, we collect a contingent 20% fee for any amount recovered through settlement without the need to file legal action, arbitration or other formal proceeding (additional and higher fees may apply if legal action, arbitration or other formal proceedings become necessary, as more fully described in the written fee agreement that clients receive).

We have an efficient structure and procedure for handling client matters which allows us to maximize production and client satisfaction without sacrificing results.

We offer services to individual people, companies, organizations and government agencies who are looking for quality legal representation that is efficient and result oriented while also putting more money in their own pocket.

A prospective client contacts My Claims Lawyer through our web portal by providing their name, the name of any relevant parties, a brief description of their matter and some other basic information so that we can determine, among other things, whether there are any potential conflicts of interest that might prevent us from accepting the case and or the client.

If after being contacted by a prospective client we determine that we can proceed with handling the matter, a secure file is established in our cloud storage where the client can access applicable forms and upload necessary documents and information so that we can proceed with representing the client.

A specific attorney and claims handler are assigned to each matter who will work, with the client’s best interest in mind, toward a prompt resolution.

This firm consists of attorneys and non-attorneys. Only attorneys can provide legal advice.
Demetrios Pavlou is the firm’s managing attorney who may be involved in the handling of your matter. Mr. Pavlou has been practicing law since 1993 and is licensed in the States of Florida, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He is also a member of several United States Federal Court Bars.

Settlements are only reached with the full approval of the client and My Claims Lawyer.

If a settlement cannot be reached, the client and My Claims Lawyer will decide and agree upon whether to pursue/file legal action, arbitration or other formal proceeding or if the matter/case should be abandoned (which would leave no further expectation of receiving a recovery for any related injuries, damages or other claims).
